I cleaned out my jeweley box last March and brought broken old 14kt rope chain necklaces, 2 gold bangles and a couple of rings to my local jeweler. He weighed them and gave me $450 bucks on the spot for a tiny ziploc bag of not even halfway full! It was all junk I didn't even wear anymore! I kept my good stuff of course, lol.

I also recommend El Monte RV. They have a website. Our friends rented nice Class C with slideout from them cheaper than Cruise America.

Bar Harbor in Aberdeen is a dump. The sites are on top of each other. I would recommend Elk Neck state park. Elk neck has lovely hiking trails and nicely spaces apart sites in the Northern loop. I have stayed at both and there is no comparison....

We have 4 rescued adult cats. 2 are female, 2 are male. The 2 males fight more often than the 2 females. During the day while we are at work, they pretty much each pick a room in the house and stay away from each other. I have 3 litter boxes, 2 on the main floor of the house and 1 in the basement. They have a cat door to the basement too. We did just have a problem with 1 of our males got an absess from being bitten by the other male while they were playing/fighting. This is the 2nd time this year that has happened, except it was the other male the last time! Each vet visit was $200 to have the absess area cleaned and have a drain inserted plus 2 weeks of antiobiotics! 4 cats is not too many for me, but I am a clean freak too. Just weigh out all the issues before you decide, thanks for picking shelter animals, they are the so grateful.

Don't forget you can still rent a nice cabin at some state parks too...I know it is not any comfort when other people tell you it's not your fault, you didn't deserve this,etc. because it still sucks all the same. I had it happen to me too, spent some time alone then met someone at age 40, and lived happily ever after. Best of luck.

I had one of my female cats declawed and spayed at the time. She only had to go under anesthesia one time. My other female was older when we adopted her, she was spayed at the shelter and then we had her declawed a few weeks later. No behavioral problems from any of my 4 declawed, indoor only cats. Ask your vet's opinion.

It never ceases to amaze me how naive people are about their money....Many people used their home's equity as an ATM machine and took short term debt: college tuition, vacations, credit card debt and turned it into long term debt through "cash out refinances." They took on mortgage payments without taking into consideration that propery taxes, utilities, etc go up every year....

We bought a small portable electric fireplace at Home Depot at the end of the season last year for $39.99...It fits on an 18 inch piece of ceramic tile right in between our 2 rocking chairs in our fifth wheel. It has the nice holographics too and puts out alot of heat. It is the best 40 bucks we have ever spent!
